Learning and support
Learning
Medowie High School is an exciting new build featuring state-of-the-art facilities designed to support innovative teaching and learning.
Wellbeing
The school will have a learning and wellbeing hub with a Student Support Officer, an Aboriginal Education Officer and cultural spaces, a School Counsellor, and a Learning and Support Teacher.
Additional learning support
Our contemporary learning spaces have been thoughtfully designed to create engaging, flexible and inclusive environments that support the diverse needs, interests and strengths of all students. Students requiring additional support will be supported by a range of staff, including Student Learning and Support Officers, to ensure they are able to access learning, participate fully in school life and achieve their potential.
Inspire – High potential and gifted education
The NSW Department of Education’s High Potential and Gifted Education Policy promotes engagement, challenge and opportunity for students across all schools. Medowie High School will work closely with local primary schools to identify the strengths, interests and talents of incoming Year 7 students and to inform the development of learning opportunities that support student engagement, extension and achievement.
We are committed to providing inclusive, high-quality learning experiences that support students to aspire to and achieve their personal best, while recognising the diverse learning needs, backgrounds and interests within our school community.
